Always have my hair cut by Ian whose consistency is beyond amazing. Very attentive to my wants while offering his opinions on what will suit me best. I trust his advice and he has never let me down. Furthermore his angel hands at the basin and good conversation is always a highlight. Special shoutout to Ivan who is my go-to-guy when Ian is unavailable. Great coffees. Great service. Great team. Great atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Spent the weekend in Wellington (from Auckland) and needed a hair update. Had my hair highlighted and cut by Jannike, she's awesome! Previously, I've only ever home-dyed my hair dark-brown, and only once highlighted "professionally" (but it was horrible) so it put me off going to a salon.
After reading reviews, I HAD to come to Blue Cactus. I showed Jannike a picture of what I was going for, real subtle highlights that weren’t blonde, she bleached it, toned it, then added some colour. As well as washing (with a soothing head massage), hair cut, blow wave and adding curls. What a service! I’m also one of those that likes to sit quietly, I like how she didn’t ask me for my life story like other hairdressers (no offence to those). It wasn't cheap, but for that kind of service and result, you really get what you pay for :)
Jannike does her job well and knows what she’s talking about..I’m so SO happy with my new look. Will go back next time I'm in Wellington! Thanks heaps Jannike and Blue Cactus!

I finally decided to get a new haircut and I found this wonderful Hair Saloon with the most wonderful people. They made me feel very comfortable, the service is great and my stylist was amazing. Adam did a great job and I couldn't be happier with the final result. I love it!
