In my opinion Bay Plaza Hotel is good for the travelers who want to spend few days in Wellington. After visiting the historic places and views of the city, this Hotel is nice to relax at night.
We hoped for the top view of the city but the building was under construction so our view was obstructed by scaffolding outside our window which was a BIG shame for us.
Very basic and out dated rooms with no heating, which is a shame for the price you pay.
Service could be better as we walked to our room to find out we had to walk back to receptions for the WiFi password.
It was alright reception desk was polite our room was comfortable on the 10th floor . I think $20 to park your car is a bit rough..
Well situated. Close to the museum and restaurants. Clean and tidy.
Wonderful staff. We stayed on the 10th floor in a recently refurbished room. The room had everything we needed. Hotel within walking distance of Massey. No kitchen facilities but they were not needed with New World over the road and many food restaurants Courtney Place. Convenient car park out back. Free 1gb of data per day! A teenagers dream. We checked out Saturday but wanted to go to the underground market and the staff were kind enough to let us leave our car there while we walked to the market. The water front walkway is over the road and Te Papa around the corner. We will definitely be back. Can have connecting rooms also!
Outdated and old. The room was old, appliances in it were old and the design was dated and worn. The window in the bathroom was cracked, the cupboards were chipped / scratched and was just a depressing place to stay.
A wonderful friendly place. Everything we asked for and more! We will definitely be back!
Comfortable, quiet, clean rooms with excellent services and reasonable price
Comfortable and cozy. Had a room at the back with no Harbour view but still good. Smells a bit musty and damp
Good service but very old and worn out rooms. Can spend a little extra and get something much nicer.
Just ok bit stale and dated but good location, good place to look when better hotels in city booked up
Very reasonably priced accommodation.
Pay $18 per night for parking bit worth it. Very close to centre of city.
Convenient location near courtenay place and especially for supermarket access and a view of the harbour.
Great location with harbour view and supermarket next door. I have to request a fan as there is no air con. There is only a passive ventilation in toilet/shower. Dirty clothes hangers, cups with stains were quite disappointed. To sum up, it was not a bad choice.
