Lovely breakfast on a cold morning in New Town. Try the signature dish Eggs Baobab. Delicious!

Every now and then you come across a cafe you cannot fault. With so many to choose from in Welly it's great finding 'the one' which has it all; great food, delicious coffee; relaxing atmosphere all at a price point which won't strangle your wallet. I guarantee you'll come back after one visit, or twice in one just like me!

This is my number one pick in Newtown for atmosphere with a nice cosy feel inside with art for sale on the walls and a lovely garden outside with a good range of seating options and complimentary sunblock. The options for vegan food are usually adequate (and vegan counter foods seems to have been improving) but the coffee bean is too acidic and guaranteed to cuddle the soya milk. That said, there is a nice range of juices available.

One of Newtown's best cafés. Excellent range of food, good atmosphere and different spaces to talk, eat, drink or work. Also live music weekly.
