Good-quality food but lacking in imagination when it comes to deciding what to put on the menu. Great if you love safe options lime prawn salad as an entree and steak as a main.

Regularly enjoy Bacchus, however more recently service has gotten awful. We ordered a meal and it came after about 30 mins (we didn’t mind this). However, we were wanting dessert after finishing and waited about 15 mins with our plates clear and glasses empty. Thought a restaurant would want to get more drinks/desserts sales as this is the money maker? Waitresses did not check on us once, and I even made an effort to look at them and attempt to flag them down while eating. All three women on staff ignored us. We ended up standing up and leaving with our plates still sitting on the table after 15 mins. Really leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Fantastic meal, very comfortable chairs. Brûlée was outstanding. Only downside was the blinds don’t match the rest of the fitout. Another fine review from restaurant critic Micheal Johnston

We came here based on Google and Tripadvisor reviews. We walked in without a booking, and felt the wait staff wasn't very nice to us. They put us in a table next to the toilets, and the food took over an hour to come to our table. The wine was good, the turkish bread was tasty, but that was the only good part. The fish was Brill and it tasted old/fishy, and the mash was not flavorful. My husband's chicken dish was wrapped in limp and salty bacon over cous cous that was watery. We had a very bad experience, it was $100 for bread, one glass of wine and 2 main dishes. I don't normally write bad reviews, but it was so bad - I only ate 2 bites of my meal and couldn't eat any more. Would not recommend.

Awesome dining experience in this place. The service was topnotch. Attention to the customer needs is second to no one. I have never been to a restaurant that in tuned to their diners. The food we wanted was not in the menu as it was recently taken out. It was no problem at all for the chef to cook it for us. The food is delicious, potatoes are heavenly, wine list is superb and crème brulé was yummy. Worth every cent you pay.

This place is beautiful. My partner took me here for a surprise lunch for my birthday, I thought we were going to go to KFC

The food was amazing, I had some sort of very thick beef steak with mustard mash and it was delicious, the staff were very friendly, the place had a nice atmosphere to it. I don't like busy places but since it was like slightly after the lunch rush it was perfect timing, there was pretty much no one else there.

I loved it and would definitely go back.

Only downside for me personally is that it is right on the corner of the Octagon (which most people probably wouldn't care about but as I said, I don't very much like busy) :) But in saying that I did still feel comfortable being there, parking was actually fine too.
