Don't study here because they will not let you keep your identity as a student of this university.
Yes they will deprive you of your AUT email with in few weeks after you graduate.
All other universities ,including University of Auckland , let you keep your email id for ever.
I want to ask the Vice chancellor. Does it cost you to keep the students their emails? Why do you want to deprive them of their affiliation to AUT?
I will not further study here because of this reason and go to University of Auckland as they let you keep your email id for all your liferesponse / report this review -

The buildings are almost new, a kind, intelligent environment with comfortable surroundings to learn and study at.
It is a University that has the Applied or 'hands on Technology' component opposed to bring all theoretical.
I have been associated for 15 years, it ranks as No. 1 in NZ for me.

I was unhappy with a lot of aspects from the assignments. Firstly, we were given far too many assignments in a short time period they should be more spread out so we can have enough time to do them. Secondly, it is very unfair that I was unable to have an aegrotat and only have a week extra to complete 2 assignments while I am grieving and wanting to spend time with my close friend who does not have long to live. Instead, I have to put all my energy and effort into finishing while having 10 mental breakdowns in a day and attempting to type while having tears in my eyes. I am not happy at all and I thought the university would be more compassionate to my circumstance. It's a shame as I was really enjoying my course at the start of the year
UPDATE: they did give me a few extra days but I had to apply for another extension.
I am dissapointed in a lecturer who is not replying to me after 3 emails
Overall, this uni is much better than Auckland Uni. Marking is much fairer. I have changed my rating as apart from these negative experiences, the teaching is excellent and I feel I have learnt so much more and gained a lot of knowledge by only studying one year. I am looking forward to contining learning and I hope that the university will take these reviews into accountresponse / report this review -

The worst university education option for international students. Not well-known in reputation, incompetent lecturers , lack of academic research achievements, low-quality study materials , badly-organized course structure, and insanely expensive tuition fees. This is a commercial company rather than an educational institution. They charge very expensive fees but fail to provide correspondingly good courses and qualifications.

It's city campus of the University. It's quite small, not big, but has plenty of shared facilities and a nice design. It also have a few convenient shops inside the campus. The negative thing is due to the location, it cannot afford any outdoor sports facilities.
The location in the CBD, and quite convenient to access all other places inside the CBD area.response / report this review -

I love AUT, done my undergaduate degree and currently pursuing my PG. Student get instant support, and the service is good. Very diverse. The lab lacks materials and got old. All in all, my experience is good.

Studied bachelor of education at north shore campus. Graduated 2010. Found lecturers to be motivating, supportive and inspiring. Would highly recommend and would consider post grad study also

I have studied computer programming there many years ago. Many my classmates got false impression that programming is easy and do not want to put efforts to study, and failed and dropped out. There must be a way let people understand this path or any path is not easy. People need to put serious dedication into their study. Don't waste time at university. University can not force people to study, make people smart, help people find a job. University is a tool, a life experience. Don't dream on it but doing nothing.

As an exchange student, I would give the country a 5/5. The university is more like a 3. Not really high learning outcome, you'll learn a couple of things down the road, it has a nice campus and student accommodation.

The university supported the endeavors of various secondary schools. One such program running at the time was the Young Enterprise Scheme wherein students pitch brilliant ideas which have the potential to be future businesses

Loved the people I met, University was fun because of them. However once you become a graduate they don't care about you or help you as much to find a job relating to your degree. They don't prepare you for reality whatsoever. Just go in pay your fees, get your degree and that's it. No further assistance from there. They also nearly mucked up my degree by only giving me 1 major where I did 2 majors. Had to follow up in regards to that. Would love to come back and study, but don't see the point since they can't support you in regards to finding a job relating to your degree.
