Dated, over priced, and broken.
Motel looks like it hasn't been renovated for a long time and showing extreme wear and tear (paint flacking, bath surrounds rotting etc.). When we entered the room, smelt like it was stale moist. Spa bath broke and the heating was insufficient.response / report this review -

My favourite place in South Island. Owners really helpful and nice. All rooms well equiped. Rooms big and clean. Kitchen had everything what was needed. Nice common area in front of the rooms. Free Wifi. Good value for the money you pay.

As a person with disabilities, I can heartily recommend this motel. A wonderful, totally accessible bath/toilet area, easy entry into the unit with no high lip to step over, and great staff. The one minor adaptation I requested was carried out immediately and with great willingness, it appeared that nothing was too much trouble. The only thing which would make staying there even easier would be a lower bench top, I feel that some wheelchair users would find the standard height bench very difficult. So top marks to Amber Court staff for an enjoyable few days' stay.

great place to stay, rooms are large, plenty of parking space, Chris and Sharon make you feel really at home. great location makes it easy to go into town or visit the outer areas.

The motel was very nice and exceptionally clean. Service was phenomenal and we were made to feel perfectly at home. Very handy to the airport. We stayed before and after Abel Tasman and wouldn't hesitate to stay again any time we're in Nelson.
