  Wanted to say a huge thanks to the staff at Alpine Lodge. Not only did they provide last minute accommodation for my sister after a sour Travel Agent booking landed her quite a hike from the centre, but, like knights in shining armour, they sent someone to pick her up as well, so she didn't have to walk! The Chalet is beautiful and the staff have been making sure she is taken care off. Thanks for making her well deserved break something very special

  Rooms were nice and clean but with thin walls it was easy to hear all the noises from rooms around us. Thankfully people were considerate and kept the volumes of TV and voices low at night so overall the stay was good.

  Friendly staff. Rooms moderately priced for Hanmer. Owners were friendly and very helpful. TVs were old. lacked channels. no aircon in two seperate rooms we stayed in. The cheaper rooms offer no kitchen. Its good but not exceptional.

  Nice and cosy place. Nothing grand, but we weren't looking for that. Room got a cabin feel to is. Nice and quiet, but not sure if that's only because of the current circumstances (just had an earthquake). Only exception being the fridge buzzing a bit straight across from the bed. Free Internet, but that's slow as can be.. But that seems to be the norm most places.

  A little noisy between rooms but the staff were friendly and helpful. We were lent towels to use at the Hanmer Springs thermal pools so we didn't have to pay $5 to rent them.
