  Beautiful location! Such an easy walk to everything in town, fabulously comfortable room, heated towels and every possible amenity. The hosts were delightful and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. Highly recommend!!

  We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was wonderful. The house is very beautiful and comfortable. Maree gave us great recommendations of places to go in town. We will come see you again if ever back in New Zealand.

  We stayed at Cheltenham House for three nights in July 2009. It is a charmingly restored colonial house.
  The hospitality was outstanding. The large room with a separate dining alcove was clean and comfortable and well heated in mid winter.
  The evening sessions round a large fire with a class of wine were pleasant and they were able to recommend excellent restaurants in Hanmer village.
  Great value for money and we will be back.
