  We highly recommend staying here when visiting Abel Tasman. The hosts Scot and Jocelyn are very kind and extremely helpfull both with everything at the lodge as well as the booking of activities, food, etc. The whole place is recently renovated and looks stunning. The room was beautifull and spacious with a nice terrace. We enjoyed the Spa and Sauna and the nice breakfast that arrived very timely at our door daily. The Lodge is situated right next to the park. You can take the water taxi to one of the many beautifull beaches where you can do great hikes along the coastline. The taxi's depart only 400 meters from the lodge. Thanks Scot & Jocelyn for a wonderfull stay!

  Enjoyed the Lodge but Not the Billing Practices
  
  We very much enjoyed our stay in the Two Bedroom Chalet until we received the bill. The rooms appeared to have been recently built and were very nice and the views out the back window of the hills and the birds were peaceful. We also enjoyed having two separate suites as we were vacationing with our three adult age children. The location cannot be beat for access to the Abel Tasman National Park.
  
  I would have given this an excellent review had it not been for the billing. When we booked online we were given a rate considerably lower than what we were billed at the end of our stay. Here is the e-mail we received from the owner regarding the billing:
  
  "The rate online when you booked was $205.00 for the Studio and $185.00 per night for the One Bedroom. Unfortunately, the system confirmation email only provides the rate for one chalet not the total amount (in this case the Studio). A system issue we can’t amend when two chalets are booked at the same time. Our apologies there is nothing we can do about that. In the end we charged you a slightly lower rate of $200.00 for the Studio and $180.00 per night for the One Bedroom. I do hope you will feel our place was good value."
  
  Hard to believe that this is a "system issue we can't amend" so I write this review as a warning in the event you decide to book more than one room online.

  Stayed at the Abel Tasman Lodge 3yrs ago and it was excellent. The new owners have upgraded and it is now superb. Top quality fittings and careful thought have transformed this great accommodation into one of the best that we have experienced during our many tours of NZ. Very clean and tidy with beautiful grounds make this accommodation a must choice for those who want to be located close to the Abel Tasman National Park.

  We loved staying here. The owners, Joce and Scott are very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Lodges are very spacious, light and airy, very clean in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Very close to the park entrance with great eating places with gorgeous views if the park and bay. If you are out and about do ask for a packed lunch the filled rolls are awesome 😉 We would love to come back again some day. Highly recommended 😁

  Very nice accommodations and even better owners. Very clean and quiet , right at the park entrance, could not ask for anymore.
