  Would not recommend to anyone wanting to go on holiday with their pet or needing to house up while in between looking for full time work or accomodation to get set up, or anyone wanting hospitality or service. Advertises as pet friendly but this is obviously only to attract customers and is not always backed up depending on the managers personal view of you obviously as he allowed a husky dog to wander around the complex at its own free will and into the unit while we were there yet we weren't even allowed our very small chiuaua cross leashed on the balcony outside our unit and he didn't want it on site full stop and told us it had to go, if we had not known a family member to take the dog to in nelson like we did we would have had a real problem on our hands. And thats despite our dog is fully house/toilet trained, clean washed regularly, had its own bed/enclosed bedding area. If a place advertises as pet friendly then it should back up what it advertises, its pretty clear really your either pet friendly or your not! Manager isn't interested in the needs of his customers as his attention is solely on what ever money he can get from people without having to provide any service.
  Had to continually ask for toilet paper, linen and coffee/tea top up sachets, continually ask about a room service eg vacuming.
  Heard a few stories while in nelson from other people who stayed here about this managers antics, specifically from people who had cancelled their bookings with more than the required notice yet the manager still charging and taking the persons money.
  The manager is not approachable and will not listen to you or hear you out when talking to him but instead he likes to hear his own voice and talks over his customers as experienced and overheard with others while there.
  Then after having enough of the managers arrogant antics, when we moved to a better motel down the road from him the manager started bad mouthing the motel we were going to and saying stuff that was totally not true, in fact the manager could learn quite a few things from the staff at oxford court motel about looking after customers needs and giving value for money with a pleasant and genuinely friendly manner.
  And if the previous statements arent bad enough the manager then packed a tantrum about us leaving his premises for another motel and rang the people we were working for at the time and told them he was "coming for them". Just a joke. Its a pity actually because the lady that runs the motel when he is not there is so nice and very pleasant to deal with and should be running the motel full time.
  I suspect that any decent reviews this motel has received have been because of the lady that runs it when he is not there.
  While this review is not a pleasant one it is brutally honest and 100% true based on an extended stay there which was not by choice at the time.

  DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE! Nice enough Motel. However, gave no refund on a room cancellation. Despite the fact that we cancelled the booking weeks in advance.
  Their homepage is faulty too, returns an error when booking 2 adults+3 children for their "2 Bedroom Family" rooms.

  Really disappointing place, annoying manager, advertises PET FRIENDLY.Not pet friendly at all dogs had to stay in the car no allowed in the unit, not even for cuddles.
  Did not supply with the correct items, had to supply own toilet paper, ask for tea/coffee top ups. Plus ask for linen. This is an over priced unit, as long as the manager is making money nothing else matters.
  He is not approachable or easy to get along with.. The staff (ladies) however were nice and friendly.
  Very unrelaxed stay.
