This cafe has a sensational location, but the food does not match the location. I had "eggs benny" that where cold - cold plate, cold holandaise, cold bacon just not good. The flat white coffee was weak and milky despite asking for a double shot.

First time coming to this establishment, unfortunately not a good experience. The person greeted us at the door and asked if we had a booking despite the restaurant having emtpy tables. He made us wait as if we were not welcome. We got a table outside and there remaind emtpy tables for the rest of the evening. Now the reason for the one star is not because of our waitress she was lovely. It was the wait time of our food. It took one hour and 30min to get our food and looking around no one else had their food either. Don't know what was going on. We ordered fish and chips, a burger, calamari and a pizza. All the food would not take that long at any other restaurant as it's pretty much in the pizza oven or deep fried. Really disappointing something seriously wrong was happening on this evening the poor waitress tried her hardest but it seems like the kitchen staff let her down. Food was ok but the service was unfortunate and this changes the whole experience of dining out.

The worst service I have ever had. 2 hours to serve my order. 40 minutes for 1 coke! Apologizes were 1 beer for a group of 7 people. I don´t recommend that restaurant. There are more in this zone.

Can't believe the negative reviews I have just read before placing mine. I visited this restaurant last week and I have to say the food and service were fantastic. They have clearly had the place done up recently which has been done well. The setting is lovely, wish I lived on waiheke as I'd definitely visit more often!
