Stayed here twice. Once before our trek and then after. The guys were extremely helpful and we even booked our trek through the company the hostel collaborates with!
A little out of the way if you were hoping to spend time in the centre of the city. However it's very close to the ring road surrounding the city where most buses run to other destinations. The beds are comfortable, there's a great view from the rooftop and the food was great.
Great, friendly staff and management. Good, clean rooms and facilities with tasty food - lots of burgers to try! Perfect location for the monkey temple and away from KTM central hustle and bustle. Let me park my bike inside their secure compound while I went trekking for 2 weeks.
Lovely very welcoming staff! Awsome travellers! Comfy beds and great terrace. However noisy surroundings at dawn and hot water didn't work well. I definitely recommend it:)
We stayed here two times, before and after our trek in a dorm room. The staff was super friendly and always helpful. Even when we were sick, they offered us transport to the doctor. The food here is very good. The cooks are excellent!!
The rooms are simple and clean. The bathrooms are also clean, but at different times a day, the water isn't working which is a general problem in Kathmandu and not only in this hostel.
While we were trekking we were able to store our baggage for free here.
If we come back to Nepal, this will definitely be the place were we will stay another time! :-)
The workers are awesome. Generous and eager to mingle and help. The rooms are fine, bring ear plugs. The monkeys and dogs are having turf wars outside, but that's not the hostels fault. There is a nice community bathroom outside of the shared rooms. They have baggage storage which was great a long with airport transportation which was very reasonably priced. On the third floor is a nice resteraunt and mingling area. Be sure to check out the roof top, the stars are beautiful over the city at night. Best hostel we have stayed at in awhile! Thanks!
Quiet hostel near swayombhu. It's in one if the inner streets but there are done pointing towards it from the road.
It was a nice stay overall but the hot water wasn't working on the second day. It wasn't winter so it was ok.
amazing place and lots of intersting people tomeet. perfect host and support for your news in nepal. perfectly priced for bed and you get breakfast too.
Very close to Swayambhunath. Comfortable, clean, good beds, food was also good. Relaxed atmosphere with good internet.
A very comfortable place to stay at. The rooms are quite spacious. The staff is very friendly. The guests are quite friendly too and you could end up making quite a few new frnds there.
Good location,Good gathering of different people from the all around the world.a nice view of famous monkey temple from the roof.Very welcoming, supportive, familiar and friendly staff.for neatness hygiene and sanitation there is no comment,it is 100% perfect.
Great views in a more local area of Kathmandu. It's great to go for a walk around the hostel and see local life instead of being surrounded by all of the other backpacker hostels and shops in Thamel.
The place is good for staying a few days and plan your trip around Kathmandu and Nepal. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and they are always willing to help, is a great place to meet other travelers, the bathrooms are not so many for the number of people per floor, will stay again in this hostel if i´m going back to kathmandu
An oasis of calm (and fun) in a high pressure and busy city. Can't recommend enough.
One of the best hostels I have been to. A perfect common area, so easy to meet new people. Great vibe. Location is good, though not in Thamel which is the "centre". The staff is extremely helpful, nice and welcoming. I had a medical issue and the manager accompanied my to the hospital and checked in on my on the following day - Highly appreciated. This place has definitely made my Nepal experience so nice.
These guys work so dang hard to make sure you have a good time. Was there during the Euro's so tons of football talk to go around. They make solid food and are great conversation if you want to know more about the area. They know their trekking as well.
Stayed there for only 2 nights. Modest, clean rooms & helpful staff made my stay comfortable. A very peaceful location, tooand just a few minutes away from a number of great temples. Fun to watch the monkeys from the dining area - but scary when you venture outside early in the morning and get viciously hissed at by one sitting in the middle of the road just outside the hostel!!
