Located in the heart of the city, it is one of the sacred places for Hindu devotees of Lord Ganesh. Tuesdays are very crowded here as this is the day devoted to Lord Ganesh. So visitors flood the temple on Tuesdays. Other days are relatively less crowded. Parking for two wheelers are done at the eastern side of the temple but no parking space for four wheelers. At the side of the main temple, located is the statue of Lord Hanuman and also Lord Buddha at the side of a small pond.

श्री गणेशाय नम: A historical religious temple of Lord Ganesha, the Lord, whom you worship at first. Located at the Heart of the Valley, its a worth visit, even from within your vehicle you can make a right round around the temple.

I enjoy the quiet aura of this temple and pond and the tasty Aloo Chop served at the small tea house adjacent to it and the main road.

Kamaladi Ganesh is the most popular Ganesh temple in Kathmandu Valley, and also known as White Ganesh. It is believed that King Prithivibirbikram prayed to this deity for the birth of a son, and when King Tribhuvan was subsequently born the tradation began of worshipping at the temple so as to be blessed with children. The temple is extremely busy on Tuesday.

Tuesday being the most favourite day to worship Lord Ganesh, the temple receives more traffic of pilgrims in Tuesday. The temple is magnanimous, elegant and well decorated. Everything inside is neat and clean. If you are planning to light a holy lamp 'दीपक' then it can be bought inside the temple. white rats can also be seen in the temple. The another side of road beside Ganesh temple contains small holy pond. Taking off shoes is a must while entering the main door of temple. Economically weak people gather in the periphery of temple specially in Tuesday so anyone can earn blessings by providing then goods and foods. Being at the heart of the Kathmandu city, this temple is playing a vital role to preserve the religious beauty of the city.

It is beautiful temple of Ganesh. Since Ganesh is worshipped in Tuesday, the temple is quite crowded on that day. The surroundings around it is beautiful and clean. Temple is located at the side of busy road and there are lots of restaurants and cafe around it.

Although this shrine has very little artistic importance, it is very popular. It is set within a walled enclosure and surrounded by tall trees. There are many Hindu and Buddhist sculptures around, and there is also a small pond nearby which is described as a tirtha. The earliest reference to the shrine is a restoration in 1750. In 1905 Dambar Shamsher donated a string of lamps, and in 1911 Prithivi Bira Bikram had the temple embossed with gilt copper. - Kathmandu Valley Inventory

The biggest Ganesh temple in Kathmandu. Crowd influx on Tuesday. It would be clever idea to go early without car on Tuesday as devotees make over crowded at temple premises.
