The monastery area is very beautiful and you get to see many statuecrafts within this cool and calm environment being near Kathmandu city. You gotta Walk up the hill but I'll tell you it's a heaven up there. .

The well managed gumba with life size Buddha statues simply takes your breath away. The crowd is not very welcoming though you can enjoy with your own group here. Peace Out!!

This place is also known as Seto Gumba or White Monastery. Compared to Kathmandu street air, this place is a bliss. I saw a lot of monks (well, obviously) walked around with their Kasaya (I think they're pretty cool). There's also a souvenir shop with affordable price.

Druk Amitabha Mountain is a Buddhist Monastery with monk school. Not far from kathmandu valley 10 - 20 mins drive from Swayambhunath stupa. You can watch most of Kathmandu valley from here which is great. Good place for short hike.
