In central Thamel, just over a quarter mile from the center of the city, Hotel Norbulinka features a mix of modern décor and traditional carvings and artwork. It has rooms with a private bathroom an on-site restaurant and a free airport pick-up service.
Rooms are air-conditioned and feature a wardrobe and cable TV. A private bathroom includes a shower and free toiletries.
Hotel Norbulinka is 3.2 km from both Central Bus Park Gongabu and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu is 5.6 km from the hotel.
Guests have access to free Wi-Fi in the hotel’s common areas. A safe is available at the 24-hour front desk. A currency exchange and tour desk is conveniently located at the hotel, which also provides laundry and dry cleaning services for an extra fee.
Bay Leaf Restaurant serves a variety of cuisines including Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian. Jasmine Bar has a wide selection of drinks.
Thamel is a great choice for travelers interested in shopping, food and hiking.
Great experience for holiday traveler like me. I find food very interesting and delicious. I like both veg and non veg food and breakfast was also good to have . Very comfortable bed and nice view from roof top. Find location also good with in city and nearby market also. Hmmmmmm really have so much fun here

Unexpected fun only because of Norbulinka Boutique Hotel. We reach to Kathmandu in 11pm at that time also driver is waiting for us. We really feel so happy when we see driver. When we reach to hotel bellboy welcome us with a welcome drink at that time also. Feel so special, fantastic room with City view and light of Thamel. Its so near to visit market of Thamel. We stay for two nights. We enjoyed our time here. Best wishes to Norbulinka team to help us. I am sure that we will be in this hotel when we come again.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Katmandu.
I have been there in 2000.
They are very well organized in order to support travelers. Their contacts reaches out to all tour guides.
At Nepal a visitor should go on a tour with a local. This is safe, moreover you give a short term job and allow the person to make some money.
Some people just check the surrounding, some go further Everest, Annapurna..
I did the "Everest view", a good climb by bicycle.
Fresh air, nature at it's best.
    The hotel offers full board.
    Moderate prices.
    Clean, wide rooms.
I appreciate the short time there.
    Thank you!

Clean room and kind staffs. The restaurant is also good.
But the breakfast(5:00-10:00) is too simple.
