Hotel Friends Home is located in Kathmandu, just 20.9 km from Nagarkot. The hotel has a sun terrace and views of the city, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Free private parking is available on site.
Certain units have a sitting area where you can relax. Every room has a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find slippers, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A flat-screen TV is available.
You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property.
The hotel also provides bike rental. The nearest airport is Tribhuvan Airport, 5 km from the property.
Thamel is a great choice for travelers interested in shopping, food and hiking.
Hard to find anything. The only tiny negative was no bath but they brought a big bowl add soon as we asked to bath the little ones in.
All staff super helpful and attentive. Room was so nice and warm, clean and comfy beds. Nice breakfast! Free tea or coffee in lobby whenever but we took it to the room and they offered to take it for us. Cleaned the rooms and clean towels everyday.
The triple room was a bit small. There wasn't much space to put our luggages.
Breakfast served was good. The staff at the breakfast station was very polite and approachable. There is complimentary coffee/tea any time of the day.response / report this review -

Decent value for money hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Has a breakfast buffet with comfortable rooms. The kitchen is pretty decent as well.

Felt at home here after a long couple of weeks trekking. Hot water and power. Air conditioning with heating. Cheap room service, $2 for a plate of momos to the room if you're feeling lazy. Breakfast buffet is great with pancakes, muesli, and proper boiled vegetables which I missed after the trek. Even after checking out early, you can still hang around for some tea in the comfortable lobby or rooftop. Always accommodating staff make everything comfortable and very clean. Stayed at 2 other places in Kathmandu before this and even the famous guest house does not compare especially when you take price into account!
Would definitely stay here again if I return to Kathmandu!response / report this review -

Best hotel in thamel. I’ve stay there every visit. Friendly warm community. They take care of u. Clean hotel, clean bathrooms, good safe food. Very reasonably priced.

Respective to the rent they have very good room service and facilities. the restaurant is a bit expensive but many good restaurants are nearby.

our stay was indeed a homely stay and had a very personal touch by the entire staff, Mr Rajendra responded to all our mails quickly and was patiently relying to all our queries, He took care of our entire itinerary from Airport pick up to hotel stay, sight seeing and also entire arrangement of our stay in pokhara,
the day we were leaving Kathmandu it was election day therefore there were no vehicles available to drop us at the airport, however Mr Rajendra took special police permit to drive us back to airport

This budget hotel in Thamel is clean and the service is great. Breakfast is included and perfect to start your day. Wifi is available too.
Don't be put off by the price. It's straightforward and close to lots of great places to eat and look around. It's a good place to start an adventure.
The manager is helpful and can arrange transport to the airport or other destinations.

Very helpful staff.They are very kind. I had an open ended itinerary and they put together a schedule based on my needs and wants. Being a single women, they took extra care to ensure my safety and not be cheated. The hotel includes airport transfers, wi Fi, breakfast, and a clean room. The building it self is not state of the art but for Nepal it is above standard. Kathmandu can be overwhelming and chaotic and having local natives guide you through the city is what makes this hotel excellent. They really treat you like family.

Clean, comfortable spot well located in Thamel. Kind and helpful staff, feels like such a luxury after trekking two weeks. Laundry service available. Tea and breakfast included.
