Good one
Fantastic peacefull place. Deserves the utmost respect .Marie who runs the gompa is very welcoming.
Nice space. Informal vibe is ok but website info is out of date in terms of prices and schedule. Yoga class was low key for those who like a more physical practice.
Took a beginner's yoga course in the morning, advertised at 400 Rs. Class and teacher were good. When it came time to pay, the price was suddenly 600 Rs. Not a classy move.
A friend recommended this retreat to us. It was super informative, a good way to spend 3 days after trekking. We had become interested through our treks about the monasteries and here we were able to learn a ton about Buddhism in an open environment where we could ask questions and have group discussions. The food was decent, and the staff friendly. The rooms were simple with shared bathrooms, we brought insense for the slight odor. The teacher was good, however they had a dog on site that was in the room chewing on his bone during meditation and found the director having the dog around all the time to be quite intrusive to the experience.
