Hindu temple at Bhaktapur and awaiting remakes after earthquake 2072
Being reconstructed. Very Nice
After Earthquake Fasidega Temple is collapse.
this heritage is not a heritage now. Recent earthquake(7.9) brought it to grounds. only base part remains, it's under construction now (2017).
It was said Fasi dega. why? cause In native newari language, Fasi means a kind of pot. It's shape was like a pot thus it was named fasi dega.
However, it was made at low cost in the rana regime this didn't stand in this era.
But now it is said, the new design would may have sustain earthquake like 8.0 or something like.
I had been here in 2009, and it was in good state then. The temple was in pagoda style and white in color. There were many stairs.
Only the base of the original structure remains. The stairway is guarded by three pairs of animals. On top of the five stepped base there is a modern, domed shrine. There are porticos with corrugated tin roofs over each of the four doorways. Inside are several sculptures of Hindu gods.
Unfortunately nothing is known about the temple's earlier history. - Kathmandu Valley Inventory
