Nepal, in general, needs to improve its airports including that in Bhadrapur. Just few days back, there was a news that Bhadrapur airport lacks firefighting equipment. It is a gross underestimate of public safety. Facilities provided at this airport can be counted as a bare minimum or insufficient. Water in restroom is of dubious quality. Yellowish color of water hints that the airport lacks necessary water treatement provision.

Bhadrapur Airport is located in Jhapa District.This is only one airport in Jhapa District. This is one of the main domestic airport in Nepal. This airport is also called Chandragadhi Airport. Currently, Nepal airlines, Buddha airlines, Agni Airlines, Yeti airlines, Simrik airlines and Goma Airlies operated flight to Bhadrapur Airport. You can travel to Kathmandu in 45 minutes from Bhadrapur Airport.

Nepal has an airport even for a village, whereas India has airports only for metropolitan and tier 1 cities. Air network in Nepal is far denser than it is in India.
There's just a long table for the luggage pickup in the makeshift hall of an arrival lounge. No high tech marvels of architecture to drain passengers' pockets and no frills to cater to high Westernised ideals. India can learn a lot from Nepal about running an airport on a shoe string budget.

Bhadrapur Airport is Only one Domestic Airport of Jhapa.However, currently there is only 14 flights (total) are arriving and departure from this airport and first flight arriving at this airport is on 10:50 AM from Kathmandu and Last flight departure from this airport is on 3:45 PM .

This airport is connecting only with Kathmandu.

No AC, no proper toilets and no X ray scanning of luggage. They make u open your luggage and check. No restaurant inside too.

Short way to travel to Kathmandu only 55 mins there are altogether 7 flights traveling to Kathmandu. This area is 20 km away from Kakarvitta (India Nepal boarder) and can convinently reached by taxi which charge almost 1000 NPR money

Something is better than nothing. Short way to travel to Kathmandu only 55 mins else other option is bus which takes 15 hrs

One of the poorest and badly managed airports in Nepal. No facilities for passengers, toilets with broken pipes, no place to buy even water in the airport. It was so embarrassing to open luggage in front of 20 people waiting for their turn and someone to search through all your stuff. Physical frisking was also not a good experience at the security check.
