Staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us store bags before checking in and after checking out so we could go explore the city. The bathroom had heated tile flooring which was nice but the pillows packed some support.

VERY SMALL rooms, however, it is a cheap hotel in a good location, so I really don't mind (I got what I paid for!?). Rooms are quiet, clean. Staff is polite. Don't expect this to be a fancy hotel, but if you need a quiet safe place to rest your head, this is good.

Oslo is expensive. Do not waste your money on hotels, use it to enjoy the city. Smarthotel will allow you to do that. It's everything you need and nothing you don't. Rooms are small, bathrooms are small, and the bed is small. As long as you know and understand that going in I believe you will be very happy here. It's in a great location and the staff was helpful with any advice I ask them for. If you are someone who needs fancy and elegant room to sleep in do not go here, if you are someone who wants a clean and comfortable place to rest at the end of the day you will be happy here.

Great value. Rooms are a little small, but it was to be expected both from the website and price. Staff was extremely helpful. I was lucky enough to be helped by Gurou, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the city and getting around. Breakfast options we're also available. This level of adaptability made it a great place to stay for a couple days.

This place looked decent but my experience left me feeling bitter. Day 1-my husband and I checked in and immediately had to turn back to the front desk to upgrade our room which was meant for one person. After paying extra $$, we were sent up to a slightly bigger room. Nevertheless there was now the queen bed which I had initially requested so that eased my pregnant mind. Next morning after awaking is when I noticed a bedbug walking across the pillow I slept on. I immediately captured it and saved it as proof for management. I was shocked and disgusted as I had felt critter like movements throughout the night but never thought it would be my worst nightmare until I saw it for myself. I immediately began to research online to find out this particular hotel has had several complaints of bedbugs. I quickly went down to management who offered an seemingly insincere appology and relocated us to a new bedroom and offered us complimentary breakfast. I was quite insulted with their offer and requested the upgrade fee be refunded to which they complied but even so, upon arrival to my new room; our bed was downgraded to a double and the bathroom and room were much smaller than the upgrade I had originally paid for. Therefore, I was rightfully so refunded as my room was downgraded. Also, when I explained my concerns due to my pregnancy I was assured it was no big deal if I don't have any visible bites. Well 2 days later I developed 6 itchy/swollen bites across my stomach.

The Hotel it is really an interesting one. It is simple and essential even sober, with very small room ,at least the single (no closet for example just a couple of hangers), but everything is new and clean and perfectly running.
The breakfast it's again simple but very good and complete. All this at a very reasonable price, no sorry at a very cheap price, in the centre of Oslo. Just few hundreds meters far from the National Theatre. If your budget is limited this is your smart choise.

Excellent location, clean, simple and functional rooms, although be warnedThey are small! Really friendly staff, who even let us check in at 07:00 in the morning! Breakfast is tasty, staff are friendly and they offer free bike hire.

The location is excellent, very central and near bus and tube links. The room is small but cosy, warm and has all you need to get by. Check in was simple and fast and the breakfast is very good with a great selection!
