Nice and cozy hotel, amazing dinner & breakfast. Very pleasant staff, beautiful location
Third time staying at Aak. Amazing place, awesome food, super staff! Highly recommend!
Great place, great food, but deduct one star for shared bathrooms
Amazing staff, amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. So cozy and do much like a Home but with high quality. Good rooms, good beds. Beautiful bathrooms. We enjoyed the stay.
Lovely old hotel. We stayed in the surprisingly spacious John Venge room and enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast on shared long tables in a very cozy dining room. Very friendly and helpful staff. We highly recommend staying at Aak.
Fantastisk hotell med super betjening og et unikt konsept!
Cosy smaller hotel surrounded by great mountains. Fantastic service and food with a nice atmosphere, recommended!
An ideal stop before the Trollstigen stint.
Quaint inn, beautiful setting, upscale modern decore. Helpful staff and great food.
Thanks to the hotel strike in Norway, 18th May 2016, our friends from Trondheim found as an alternative, this boutique hotel to take us to on our Atlantic Road trip. Tucked at the bottom of the mountain, Hotel Aak affords a magnificent view of the mountains opposite. After a refreshing glass of Chablis to mark the end our days travel, we emerged from our well appointed rooms, each of which were named after peaks nearby, to be thoroughly pleased with our three course dinner sourced from local produce which was beautifully paired with wines. Breakfast following the next morning did not fail to maintain the standard set last night. The decor with mountaineering paraphernalia was strangely soothing yet sparking a promise of adventure. This was a place one would be eager to return to after a day of climbing or simply rambling. Unsurprising we were sad to leave but made a promise to ourselves to return someday.
