Same story as with the review of sven de boer. We have reserved a cabin by calling Ture the manager. Our cabin was occupied, he reneged on the reservation and offered us another more expensive cabin at Korsbakken Camping instead of his, originally booked, second camping in Isfjorden. At least it was possible to bargain and we have gotten a pretty big price reduction. However, it was more expensive than the originally reserved option. Read the full review at Isfjorden camping.
Cabin itself was ordinary, no great view. His secretary, who got in personal contact with us is very fond.
Unfortunately this place is managed badly by Ture the manager. He starts very aggresive or defensive when you have a honest complaint. The case: we booked a 6-persons cabin and due to a Problem it was not available. I think Ture rented the 6 Person cabin to a long stay to earn more money. Understandable but not acceptable. So without any emotion he just split a family of 6 with small childeren over 2 cabins. Not understanding that a family of 6 who booked a family cabin for 6 does not want to be split in 2 cabins. No sorrows, just business. Shame on you Ture. A little extra compensation to satisfy your guest; You could have solved it with a small reduction on the price to show a little understanding. if you had a true heart for hospitality, my advice: quitte your job and never return to hospitality. You really do not understand this line of business. This is an advice of a hotel manager of a big hotel business with 1.400 beds in 353 rooms in Amsterdam.
