Had an excellent stay. The food and service was also excellent. This is a historic hotel, all the rooms are unique. The hotel also have a Tesla Destination Charger.

I was recommended by my Airbnb host to visit this hotel to get a feel for some local history. I was amazed at how authentic everything was, and how they had preserved the look and feel of the interiors from the 19th century. It's a worthwhile detour to visit this hotel, and the drive was beautiful as well.

Simply unbelievable location. Beautiful old building with really good food and friendly staff. And the drive from Hellesylt is amazing, too--like something out of Lord of the Rings. Highly recommended

Give yourself extra time around the area, the drive there is stunning! Food was delicious and it was fun too peek inside each of the hotel rooms even though we didn't stay there!

Probably one of the best meals I have ever had in all my travels!!! Friendly staff, stayed open for us even though we showed up close to closing time. If I could eat there every night, I would without question!

If your REALLY want to spoil yourself, this is one of the best you can get! Fantastic location, friendly staff, good food, luxury rooms. They emphasise Norwegian tradition, without going too much over the top. (Well, maybe a little bit, but you can understand why they are proud of the heritage.)
