  i didn't stay here but i did frequent the bar which has a huge selection of craft beers from the local region and around the world! amazing find in this small village.

  Nice comfortable suites with unique scenic wall decorations, clean toilet and shower. Good chef who was kind enough to explain to us his special three-course cuisines that he was to prepare for our dinner, which turned out to be superbly delicious in my personal opinion. Would love to visit the hotel again in the future.

  Good location for the winter, bit less for the summer. Most summeractivities are on the other side of the fjord.
  Restaurant uses local ingredients, like salmon from the fjord. Breakfast buffet is okay, but the choice is limited compared to other hotels.
  Hotelroom is okay, only the light in the bathroom wouldn't turn off... Not a problem though.

  Hotel is ok (basic). Breakfast is very limited.
  The service in the restaurant (diner) was very bad. We had to wait for 1.5 hour before we got out food. After 1 hour we asked the waiter how long it would take and he replied a few minutes after we indicated that we were waiting for almost a hour the cook came to us telling that it takes 20 minutes to prepare the stake (still does not explain the additional 40 minutes). Then it still took almost half an hour before we got our food.
  Eventually the food was not prepared well (steak not seasoned well, fish was dry).
  The rest of the staff was friendly.
  Hotel: 3 stars, restaurant:1 star => Total 2 stars.

  Dirtiest room I've ever seen. The floor was full of filth and the bathroom was strewn with pubes. Stayed for 3 days and was never offered a new room, and the cleaning they repeatedly promised never showed. Want to live in a very expensive trashcan, try this place.

  Stayed in one of the apartments up on the mountain. Visited the hotel to use the swimming pool and sauna.

  The rooms at this hotel feel like a remnant from the 70s. I did not expect a lot from a hotel in such a small (and otherwise interesting) town, but this underwhelmed me in a memorable way. The hotel also doubles as a night club, and the soundproofing of the rooms is about the equivalent of sturdy cardboard so on the nights they have parties you can't expect to get much sleep (unless you can sleep through a rave party). We switched rooms to the highest floor, but that only helped marginally. The front desk staff also double as bar and night club staff, so going down to the front desk at night is frustrating at best, since the queue to get in to the club is through the main entrance. I will go back to Stranda, but I will never stay at this hotel even if they pay me the rate they charged for the room.
