To call it an "Aparthotel" (Hybelhotell) in a joke, as apart from your room, all parts are common, (toilets, showers, kitchens) When I was there in 2011, although the kitchens were modern, maintenance was often neglected, I think my company on Heroya was paying 4000NOK/m, and at the time the place was overrun with Norwegian archaeology students and post grads working on various digs along the path of the new motorway. One guy was particularly unpleasant and bullying, and tore down all the notices, including ones I'd put up, about my electric bike being stolen from outside. There was a nice gym in the basement, which was a plus. Judging by the complete lack of cars parked outside now, I'd guess that it's closed down.

Stayed at Herøya Hybelhotell in almost an entire month. During this time worked almost none of the facilities that they promise .

I will never recommend Herøya hybelhotell to anyone.

1. The washing machines were broken. 1 washing machine worked and was split between 85 to 90 residents.
2. The dishwasher was broken.
3. The elevator was sabotaged by a drunk who shouted and sang and tried to get into other people's rooms . ( It took 3 weeks before they repaired the elevator ) .
4. The hood was broken so the entire kitchen and hallways was smoke-filled and a smell of food.
5th The freezers were overcrowded. If you had frozen food with you, was it ruined because you could not freeze your food.
6. People stole food and other things from others. Did you forget your shower gel in the shower so there was Asians who stole shower soap or showered in the shower rooms despite not living in the corridor.

We announced early on that the dishwasher was broken and that the washing machines were broken. Despite the repaired is not dishwasher or washing machines.
