The Room was very dark (dark painted walls an a lamp who didnt deserve the name lamp). Also the Dinner was greasy and not very delisious. The fittings in the bathroom was loose. The Hotel is ok if you need a not to expensiv hotel whith dinner in Oslo.

We have alway found Gableshus to be homely comfortable friendly etc.
The food is very much to our taste. The staff always present a warm, friendly manner and are very helpful. Everything is clean and tidy.
The hotel is not Glitzy or superficial. The atmosphere is a close to home as it could be. We have stayed regularly for a number of years and love everything there.

Extremely disappointing, low grade wine, waiters that were slow and unwelcoming the few times they appeared, and the worst - the food was just horrendous. Cold, dry and no taste from start to end. Not recommended!

From the outside it looks like a romantic place. I'd expect from the looks to find tuxedo's and evening gowns inside, which was fortunately untrue.
The rooms are functional There is a place to sit and read. The bathroom had everything I needed. It's not large and has no bathtub but it is clean and modern. It takes a bit for the shower to get up to temperature. Once there it's excellent. Windows open and it's nice and quiet at night. I liked the beds.
The staff is friendly. There is a parking place with the hotel. The dinner is a small buffet with a warm dish of the day. I liked it.
There is a WIFI network available and it is reliable.
The hotel is located so that it is a good place to get to the boat to Kiel and to explore Oslo.

Small twin bed room, but since I was in Oslo to see the sights, it worked out quite well. Breakfast and dinner were included. Dinner varies, breakfast is the standard cold cut buffet, hot dishes, and cereal/granola. There was a hot plate to fry your own egg. Parking was available for additional cost in a gated lot behind the building.
