This is an excellent place to sleep cheaply In what is an expensive area. No thrills. Close to everything. Clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more from a hostel.

Lovely hostel. Has great cooking facilities, clean rooms, and helpful staff. Breakfast is extra, but you can cook your own since there is a grocery store nearby.

The location is fabulous. You can walk to everything you might want to see in Bergen. The room was very comfortable, and I loved that a kitchenette with dishes is included. The only downside is the smell coming from the drains in the bathroom.

Stayed in room 309, it was small, and the shower didn't drain properly. Was very close to everything though, right down the street from many attractions. Good place if looking to only sleep, and cheep central location.

Super friendly, safe and affordable place to spend the night in Bergen, about a 10 minute walk from the train station and 5-15 minute walk from ferry terminals. Centrally located near local nightlife, but in a quiet and secure building. Friendly desk staff is very helpful and speaks several languages.

When we arrived there was a building site outside the hotel which was not mentioned prior, the cleanliness was okay but not on par with other Ymca hostels I have visited previously. The kitchen was worse for wear and somebody had left an unused crab claw on the side for days covered in hair before I threw it away. The communal room was dusty and the walls were covered in scratch marks, the rule a out no noise after 10 was enforced by a rather smelly man in our room but the staff didn't prevent a group of French teenagers from blasting music and shouting all night. The showers were cold and so I complained, and the next day they were still freezing cold. I suffered a week of cold showers. The common room was under renovation and stunk of paint, and to get to the showers in the morning you have to use a lift. WiFi was great though.

Very nice lady at the reception desk. She is really helpful. Nice place close or in the city centre. Also quite quiet and clean. They should offer breakfast.

Worst hostel I've ever experienced. No locker in rooms to put luggage and no hair dryer as well. Only thing good is the location.

Good location, close to harbour and train station. I arrived late and the receptionist gave very clear instructions regarding checking in. Bedroom was clean. But the reception is only open till 15:30 hours could be longer Good for short stay but won't recommend for long stay.
