comfortable seats, also next to electric plugs, stable wifi, good connection with city by shuffle but also tram. very good overall impression, even got my lost item back by post!
Small airport. Norwegian routinely flies through here. Quick layover that didn’t last too long. I’d recommend!
This airport has some fancy new toilets with auto flushing capabilities. This is a great feature; because there is nothing as enjoyable as a refreshing cold splash while doing your business on the toilet.
Wait for the security check is unjustifiedly long. The funny thing is that after I already put my things into trays, the security person invited several more people in front of me (while some other person's trays blocked me from putting my trays onto the moving line). So other than waiting in a queue of approximately hundred people I had to wait about four more people.
The architecture of the new building is not that impressive as they promise in magazines. The artwork “Bergen?” feels rather wasteful. As it is quite large it leaves an impression of being somewhat expensive. Which induces a sad feeling: they could've given the money to some talented aspiring artists to paint murals on that wall or to install sculptures inside the terminal building. To do something that touches the viewer's soul. Instead they wasted resources to commission this rather dry “ironic” work which, given that it leaves an impression of being rather expensive, turns into a self-irony of sorts.
Great airport. Small and could use more outlets, but the layout is easy and intuitive. Efficient security checkpoints and good eating options in/out of security, especially considering the size. Also worth mentioning it's very easy to access via light rail from Bergen city center.
Small but outstanding airport. Easy to get and move arround. Small but carefull selections of shops and items. There is a water vending machine for free near the shops. And if you play the Piano, there is one for use just before the duty free shops. Gates and waiting areas are very small, it gets a bit crowded just before boarding.
No trays for shoes during security control. Keep this in mind as you place delicate items in the trays. Otherwise, the airport is OK. But this is just embarrassing!
Pretty cool as airports go. Very small but you get decent amount of shopping choices. Of course the food choices are also good. A bit confusing at first but it's alright. Also, the security checks are very fast. So plan accordingly.
The only issue is that you might find it troublesome to get to the place but the connections are alright so that might not be an huge issue unless it occurs quite early in the morning when the buses to the airport/city center are every one hour.
The line for security was a little long but only took about twenty minutes. Very easy to navigate. While the food options are varied, they didn't look good so I didn't buy any
I have been here two times now. The food and taxfree-prices of the airport are just like you would expect from an Norwegian airport - a lot more expensive than elsewhere. The boarding process went smoothly, but it could use some more space. This problem will be gone soon though, as they are expanding the airport. All in all a good experience, but nothing makes this airport "better" than others.
