Worst restaurant experience ever!!!!! Inexperienced untrained staff; they left us four times in the middle of ordering food. We had to call them every time. This is the first time I see the restaurant of a 4-star hotel serves food like street food corners; the "steak", which looks more like beef donor kebab, came in a plastic dish with a paper. Even Mc. Donald has a better representation for food! The food tasted terrible; it was tasteless actually. The salad was fine though but not good enough for a luxury restaurant. And such a terrible two-course dinner for three, for 90 euro! I am willing to pay that much for nice food and good service but I think we just wasted our money on something worthless. I wouldn't even give one star to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody: instead, go to a donor restaurant and you will receive better service and food for cheaper price!
Great view great cocktails a bit pricey tho
An amazing view across the river. Impeccable service in a new minimalistic-boutique-esque hotel. The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable. The breakfasts whilst buffet, cater for most tastes with a large selection of choice. Simply fantastic all round.
It’s okay, but leaves room for improvement.
We (2add, 1child) were in a superior room on the skyline side of the hotel, it is a spacious room, the extra bed fits fine. The view on the 10th floor is nice, the Erasmus bridge is prominent.
The interior is modern and minimalistic. There the improvements become obvious. The tv is hidden behind a mirror glass, this makes it practically unusable during daytime. It is slow to react on channel changes and menu functions don’t work. The bathroom is nice, again spacious and functional, we liked the double sinks. When taking a shower, the shower head is fine but the holder is flimsy and won’t last long, probably to be replaced every few weeks. There is no room to place the nice soap bottles. And the big towels you have to leave on the sink or on the ground as there is no where to hang them, no way to collect any good karma protecting the environment.
During the night we had some trouble catching sleep as the bar terrace is right below our room and was open for business up to 1:30.
Staff is pleasant friendly, location is perfect. The bridge away from downtown situated at hotel New York leads to a nice relaxed area with restaurants and bars with good quality food all within few minutes walking distance.
Great stuff. Fabulous views. Great rooms. Fantastic breakfast. Did I mention amazing view!
Lovely view from bar on 7 the floor and very reasonable price for a coffee. Service was excellent in bar and reception.
The sofa in the room had "human juices" on it - not nice. The shower didn't have room to place the soap, shampoo etc. on which was a bit unpractical. The design of the hotel, however, was nice and it was good looking place. Breakfast was missing muesli and/or porridge which I personally would have preferred.
Really conscientious service, even with out-of-the-norm requests (like a late check out of 2:30pm, and advice on bleaching stains!). Hip, modern furnishings and design that are still comfortable. Delicious breakfast buffet with friendly service next to an amazing view of Rotterdam harbor from the terrace on 7th floor -- a great way to start the day with a deep breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.
Very modern and comfortable.
Excellent bedding/ sleep is really good.
Bar floor lively. Can be too busy at night.
View on Erasmus bridge is amazing.
Affordable.
Very nice and modernly equipped hotel. The stay was very pleasant. The parking fee of 25 euro per night (already discounted) is rather high though. My expectations are that a hotel in this price class offers the service of a uncomplicated and cost-friendly parking situation.
Stayed in a premium room on the 17th floor with an excellent view of the skyline. Had a great breakfast and the staff was very friendly. Loved it here, would love to come back some time!
Lovely bedding and good pillows. Nice welcome. Good quality items at the buffet breakfast, particularly the scrambled eggs and bacon. Oh and the little legs chocolate men. And the macarons. The bar is lively at night with fairly hefty prices and friendly staff. The view is great if you pay to be on that side of the hotel - wall to wall windows and blackout curtains. All round good value and high quality.
Really cool hotel. Nice location, clean nice rooms with a view (if you're lucky) and awesome bar. Breakfast was very tasty.
Not 5 stars because there's just a couple of things that weren't take care of properly.
1. breakfast was way too busy. Replenishment was late, which created chaos.
2. Nice little card in the bathroom about getting a high five from nature if you just hang your towels on a hook. So we did that, but still our towels were taken away and we got new ones. Instead of a high five with nature, it felt more like a kick in the ..
3. TV cabinet was broken and not fixed after asking for you to do this.
4. The wait for the elevators sometimes was very long and the system doesn't work properly. Not just us, but many were struggling using the elevator, which resulted in going up and down multiple times.
5. I think it's weird that you can't use the staircase. We walked from floor 23 (fitness) to our room on floor 22, but the door was closed. This resulted in us walking 15 stories down to 7 where we could finally take the elevator back up.
Cool and modern with large comfortable rooms.
Friendly and helpful staff a decent breakfast (though with some strange options!) and a nice bar with a great view.
A good base for a stay in Rotterdam
A hotel that doesn't know what it wants to be. Looks very stylish, but lacks any kind of substance. Pleasant rooms (only if you have a bath and not a shower). Staff a friendly and the place always clean. Biggest issue is the absolutely awful breakfast. Only good thing is the fresh juice and the booze for breakfast, everything else is quite simply a joke (breakfast-wise).
