This tea house is located in a picturesque countryside at the bank of Kromme Rijn river just 10 minutes drive from Utrecht, one can get there also by bike or canoe. Great for families and friends. Home atmosphere, great variety of pancakes, both sour and sweet. It is best to enjoy the pancakes on the seats next to the water.

Nice pancakes and a well spread menu. The location of thr restaurant is just amazing - enough to enlighten to your mood. The pancakes are tasty and the variety is really impressive. A place that should be added favorites :)

Fantastic and delicious selection of Dutch pancakes, also available gluten free and vegan! Lovely place when it's hot in the summer and perfect if you combine it with a walk or canoe trip. Nice for a day with the family or friends. Dog and child friendly.

I arrived by bike and was treated promptly and efficiently. Plenty of English menus and the food was well priced for the portion size. Summertime by that river was delightful.

It's great in terms of location and the very nice garden by the stream. Yes their pancakes are tasty but also heavily over priced. In any case it's one of those places close to the city that i would recommend to people visiting Utrecht for more than one day. Rent a bike and get here by yourself.

Tremendous selection of pancakes, with gluten-free options for my bride. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere is great, and the food was real good. Like most places in the Netherlands, the wifi was strong. There were lots of birds to watch while we ate.

This is the Theehuis Rhijnauwen's high tea. This is by far lousiest customer service I've encountered in this country. I called for a high tea reservation for my birthday 3 weeks ahead and was informed they don't accept reservations on Sunday but they can serve high tea anyway. On the day, we were told they will not serve high tea. Spoke with the manager who looked reassuring. So they served us this high tea (see photo).

Food was good. Service too. It's located near the Kromme Rijn which is a small river. In summer this must be a nice place to sit on the terrace and enjoy a pancake.
