I used to go to this place for many years. They change personnel every 3 months, very young people who are being trained that is to say sometimes they make mistakes and you get a slightly different treatment each time : worse or better.
I used to pay around 35-37 euro for my color. The last 2 times, the hairdresser used more product and charged me extra 8 euros, and no I don't have more hair! It depends on how the person colors and their experience.
I talked to the manager about this and she absolutely didn't care about my situation, she kept on explaining me that she could not give me "free" product because they need to make more color product and before they were so kind to not charge me
And I had been going there for 7 years!
Totally regular customer UNfriendly.

I decided to go to The Graduates in Amsterdam because I already had a great experience at The Graduates in Utrecht. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed to see that in Amsterdam, they do not apply the same standards of quality and professionalism as they did in Utrecht. For one, the main supervisor left and it was not possible to reach her by phone (as we would later realize). Second, while the graduate who cut my hair was really nice, she did cut my hair 10 cm (or more) shorter than I actually wanted to. It might have been a language issue but if that was the case then just say so from the beginning and I will choose someone else or go to a different place. Third, I was at The Graduates for more than 2 hours!! Finally the supervisor came and fixed the issues with my haircut but she could no longer fix the length of the hair (obviously). I think I am pretty reasonable and I surely understand that my haircut will never look as in the photo that I bring with to show what type of haircut I would like. Yet, the length of the haircut is pretty straight forward, in my view. All in all, if you are to try The Graduates then I recommend you go to Utrecht.

Pleasant exception to the general rule, recommended. As a man in a barber shop I usually feel the man or woman do not listen to what you say and what you like. So you end up with their idea and creation. Here they take time to listen and check with a colleague before cutting. Really open atmosphere, relaxed people and great results.
