This is one of the most amazing place where I've ever been. For someone who likes the nature and a country side, this place is a good choice.

The hostel is a little outside the city centre, but busses drive until 12pm. Therefore, it's location is nicely quiet with trees outside.

Worst stay ever!!!
I was booking a bed in a dormitory so I wasn't expecting any luxury. When I saw the room first I thought it was a bad joke. The building where the dormitories are, is not in the nice old house. It's hidden in the forrest and the building wasn't renovated for at least the last 40 years! (no joke)
I felt like I am in a prison but unfortunately I have paid for such a "accommodation".
NEVER AGAIN!
Btw: The employees were so unfriendly, that was probably the worst part of my whole impression.response / report this review -

Beautiful, quiet and secluded location. Nice rooms, and really friendly service. Definitely worth renting a bike and taking a ride around the countryside.

Pros. Beautiful area, wildlife and relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, cheap bike rental €9.50 per day or €5 for half day. Great breakfast. Cons.wifi only really functions on the reception/bar, not in rooms which are spread over 3 buildings. Often gets very busy with private functions, or on sunny weekend adternoons. Bring a power pack! Not enough plug sockets to guests. Not easy for walking/public transport if coming back from Utrecht centre at night, bike is a must.

Nice hostel with a pub next by. The breakfast was good! Nice environment with walk paths in the area. Not enough Power outlets in the rooms for six persons

Peaceful hostel with nice staff. I've never been in a hostel with more beautiful surroundings :)
Note for budget travelers: you are not allowed to bring your own food, so the bar might drive up the cost of your stay.response / report this review -

I always like visiting the cafe here when its summer time. Nice terrace, friendly staff around the bar. Good coffee and a great selection of beers and cakes.

Fantastic hostel in the middle of a forest, close to a mansion. Offers a good selection of beers, wine, tea and coffee. The terrace is especially brilliant if the sun is shining.

Perfect stay - location is excellent for visiting Utrecht, beautiful view on Amelisweerd from the room, and nice to have the pub to relax while the kids are asleep.

The location is slightly outside but very beautiful. Located riverside, one can even rent canoes, despite having a dinner with an excellent view. The rooms are quite cheap (price not actual state) but usual for hostels. The only downside ist the food (which is very good) but quite expensive.. Dinner did also not exist for us-
