Firstly, it was really interesting, all things inside this museum are beautiful. You can ask the entrance for a free audio tour, which is cool to hear the story meanwhile you are visiting.
Peaceful museum. Have Jewish permanent exhibitions as well as temporary regarding new artists. Enjoyed the most the vinyl room where you can just chill and hear different records.
They have a mendacious information about the Rosdzien-Schoppinitz German labor camp.
It is great place to visit by a great
Very nice! Bought a ticket and got access to the museum, the synagogue and to the Holocaust memorial and museum :-) the JHM is full of information not only about WW2, but also about everyday life after and other very informative things you should explore yourself. Also very moving stories of people from Amsterdam :-) Downstairs is a gallery of Jewish musicians or musicians with Jewish roots - very interesting! Was definitely worth a visit!
Enjoyed the first floor the most! Well worth 1.5 hours or so
This is worth a visit if you have some extra time to spend in Amsterdam.
You should visit it for 2 or 3 times so you get a real good idea of the history.
Well built the Dutch Jewish history museum.
The ticket includes entrance to four more other related sites, like the Portuguese synagogue across the street.
Highly recommended.
You have to dedicate a whole day to absorb all the info! Great exhibitions, easy explanations, perfect audio guide. It is detailed and well researched. We need more of these in Europe, so we never forget how we treated Jews and how should they be treated. Congratulations! :-)
