Overpriced, dirty and inaccessible. I stayed here for one night with my 87 year old grandmother. We rang in advance to say we would be arriving 11pm and had been on a long car journey through Europe. Despite a cold night there was no heating in our room. When I enquired I was told to turn it on myself but it never worked. There was a steep staircase to our beds which was not mentioned on their website. My grandmother could not get up to bed. I asked if there was a different room on a levelled ground and a member of staff said there was not. I looked online and found there to be one (at this point of its midnight and in exhausted). So i showed the website to them and they have me the mm on levelled ground. However, there was still a very steep staircase to the room. So beware. This hotel is inaccessible!
On top of that our room was dirty and dated in places. Please see my photograph of the dust on which the drinking glasses were resting. Yuck.
In the morning I asked the manager for a discount because of the problems and dirt I encountered. She said she would get in touch but never has. I hoped to negotiate outside of a bad review but I believe this hotel does not care for its customers.
Finally I choose the most expensive hotel around hoping it would reflect quality but it does not.response / report this review -

Amazing staff. Amazing hotel. Well worth the money. Will be staying here next time I'm in the Netherlands. All rooms are maintained to the highest standards. And the restaurant has great food

Went here for a brunch, the place is nicely decorated and the food is good. However the place was too crowded.

We hebben in Elzenhagen gedineerd ter viering van onze trouwdag. Onze ervaringen zijn:
Ontvangst: zeer attent en vriendelijk.
Ambiance: uiterst sfeervol, goed verzorgde.
Team: de heer Moerman is een prima gastheer en werkt samen met een heel vriendelijk en attent team.

Restaurant was top, goed eten, juiste gaarheid. Er was een uitgebreid ontbijt. Kamers zijn zakelijk maar klein ingericht vooral de badkamer, niet erg geschikt voor grotere mensen. De prijs voor de kamer is aan de prijzige kant voor watje daadwerkelijk krijgt.
