This is no longer a church. Pretty much everything has been taken out. The outside looks like a church, but the inside has been divided into different areas for different exhibits. Definitely not worth an entry fee of Euro 15 +.
There was an exhibition about Ghandi, King and Mandela, which did not visit. The inside of the building is beautiful.
Beautiful building, always amazing exhibitions held!
Now on, we have a dream, just go!!
Great church with lots of history. We viewed the World Press Photo which was great!
I'd rather enjoy the beauty of the church than a photo opportunity. The back of my ticket had a picture of a killer. I looked at this as I entered the CHURCH of all places. I think this is more about fund raising than anything.
Maybe pictures of architecture, landscape, life. We can be reminded daily of how bad life is. Just turn on any news channel.
Wasn't as thrilled with this place as others. However it is the Dutch royal church, and interesting to visit, but didn't think as much of it as some of the other churches I visited.
quite a magnificent looking church, though didn't get to really enjoy the building for its historical and spiritual significance. was there for the world press photo 2016 exhibition. still, would like to spend more time admiring the architecture next time.
Incredible building, however do not feel that it was worth the 16 euro ticket fee.
Stunning exterior was the main reason we ventured inside. The imposing stained glass windows are magnificent and preserved well. A stunning place of worship in Dam square which is well worth a visit!
Last Sunday I've visited the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) on Amsterdam's Dam Square. The church is both beautiful from the outside as from the inside. It's quite special to visit this unique building, because it's one of the oldest buildings of the city. I also went here to check out the Marylin Monroe exhibition which was okay, but not something that I'd personally recommend; the audio-tour was average and the content inside was also a bit average, imo. This is why I ranked it with 4 stars rather than 5.
