Nice atmosphere to work or meet someone for a coffee. I've been there twice, the first time the server came every 15 min to ask if we'd like something more. The second, the server looked very reluctant to leave his spot by the bar and be bothered to take our order. All in all, an OK place, nothing special.
This is a very nice place for a dinner slightly above average compared to what Amsterdam typically has to offer. The place is quite fancy, except for the "new" area in the back of the restaurant, which is quite plain (although more quiet). Some of the specials in the menu look really promising! The location is also interesting, just in front of the Amstel.
It's my first time here and I loved the place. It's so live and cozy. The food is amazing and the service is perfect. I will definitely come back. We tried the fatoush salad and it was so good and the best thing was the lobster with spinach. That tasted so yummy. The place is 5 minutes walk from Intercontinental Amstel Amsterdam. highly recommended for all who stays there.
Nice place, kind staff, good location in front of the Amstel. Food is good, but the menu and dishes don't necessarily hold the given price. Nontheless I give it a five star because I like this place and I am prone to return.
The service was good, the coffee was average but the view is the best part about this place. A bit pricy for coffee
Great place for working with your laptop, friendly and dfficiant service and various dishes. Specially recommended in shiny days when the outside tables are open. My favorite working location in Amsterdam
Excellent place for a drink or dinner, or both! We popped in weary from travelling and the staff attended to our every need with a welcoming smile. The food is delicious and very well priced. Good vegetarian options too. Highly recommend!
The steak tartar is exceptional. Great views. Beer service is a little slower than the food but that's due to demand. Nice place and good service.
Great place for a drink or to get a bite to eat in Amsterdam. Reasonably priced food, snacks and drinks, with a great view outside, but also nicely decorated and spacious on the inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A very local place that seems to have been around forever, but is only open as a restaurant-café since 2010.
Juts be careful going to the restroom after a few beers on the waterside terrace, there is a bicycle highway you will have to cross just be like Frogger and you should be fine ;-)
Really nice spot food was great service was polite atmosphere was enjoyable!
Nice place on the Amstel river. A bit of a hassle to get a table as there is no line system. You could be waiting for a while and someone else can just walk up and take a table as the happen to stand closer to it. They need to manage this better.
We eat here every Saturday.
Pros:
1. One of the best places for breakfast (try to Croque Madame or the Truffle spread scrambled eggs).
2. Also for lunch and dinner - food is good and portions are not too small. It's hard to find good food in Amsterdam and the food here almost never let's down.
3. Great beers - large tap beer variety, beer is very fresh (people drink there a lot).
4. Nice outside seating, or, if you can score a table next to the window - it's also nice
5. Prices not too high
Cons:
1. Service could be better. The Dutch service is notoriously bad and the server here is a bit better than average but it's still not very good.
2. Inside sitting mostly sucks - way too dark. Unless you can score a window table, which is very hard.
3. Not too many veggie/vegan options
Nice cafe with a spacious terrace by the Amstel river. Good selection of beers from tap and bottle and tasty food. Plenty of space to sit inside as well
one of my fav places for lunch, nice bit french menu. I especially love the fact the have a full dessert menu during the day also!
