I honestly cannot recommend this tour operator to anyone, they are just really unreliable. I booked the with them the Flor de cañas tour for 10am the next morning and they were supposed to pick me up at the hostel 10 minutes earlier. When calling to confirm the next morning that they would pick me up at 10 to 10, they suddenly said that they changed it to the tour at 14:00. But they didn’t even dare to inform me. Luckily I had called myself. When they should finally pick me up, they couldn’t show up because some road was blocked. Again they didn’t dare to call. They then told me to come to a different spot which was 8 blocks away. So they made me walk 8 blocks at 40 degrees Celsius but then didn’t even wait for 5 minutes. When I finally got there the car was gone.
This is just not the way you treat your customers! So I really advice you to take a different operator even if it is a little bit more expensive.response / report this review -

We booked the cerro negro vulcano boarding tour with Sonati Tours and enjoyed every bit of it. We emailed with them several times beforehand to ask some questions and the answered very quickly. On the tour itself, everything worked perfectly and on time. Our guide, Luis, was awesome, very friendly and fun, and he could answer all our questions about the vulcano and the organization.
Last but not least, big plus for the safety: unlike all the other groups from different operators, we got helmets (which I really appreciated) and Luís also paid a lot of attention to the topic of safety.
We'll take another tour with them, so I guess this is the best recommendation we can give for Sonati Tours.response / report this review -

The beds are great. Simple and cheap and a perfect stay for backpackers.

Great building, friendly personel that speaks english and spanish. Their philisophy is very nice, they really want to give somethi g back to the communities, but the prices are still low. Muy economico!

This is a decent spot if you are a backpacker on a budget. Dorms start at $6.50 and with it comes shared bathroom with just cold water showers, WiFi which can be intermittent, a computer you can use, a kitchen, hammocks and a pool.
The staff are mainly volunteers and pretty friendly. They have tours and it's in a pretty central location.response / report this review -

Quiet, clean and very friendly Sonati Hostel is the perfect place to stay in Leon. Nice kitchen. Good WiFi and a reasonable desktop computer for guest use. Very nice common area as well.
