Of the places we stayed in 2 weeks in Nica, both the nicest and cheapest room we got! Private room with private bathroom and shower adjoining, $22/night with a good breakfast included. No AC but multiple fans and windows did a great job even in hot Leon nights. Everything was super clean and well-maintained (shower, sheets, fans, toilet, wall paint, etc) and the staff were very friendly - they even helped us negotiate a taxi to the airport that was way cheaper than other places we checked! Great location on a central street with lots of bars and restaurants, but the rooms are in a recessed courtyard so there was no problem with noise or rowdiness!
We actually stayed two nights in two different rooms (we left for a night in the middle to go to the beach), and had the same great experience in both. Would definitely recommend!response / report this review -

cheap and well located accomodations, but some of them turn into a sauna because the roof and walls are not insulated, and there's not enough air circulation.

It is a very basic place. Basic breakfast and basic rooms that can get too hot in the night as there is no AC or fans. Would not recommend as you can find something much much better for very similar price.

Good location, stayed in private room. Felt secure. Electricity went out so heat was a problem but staff was friendly and professional. No extra amenities but solid choice.

This has been the worst experience I have had in Nicaragua. I was staying there in a private room and left my wallet in the room with 400 USD in it. The only person that was there was the old man who owns the place and my money was missing. WHen I went to tell him I am missing money he started to scream. We called the police and this idiot started to talk about he is sick and has a heart problem and ge cannot go to jail.
