One of the best day adventures in Nicaragua, a beast of a climb to an active volcanic crater. Killer views if you're fortunate with the cloud. Excellent.

If youve ever hike up a mountain or any decent shape at all this will be fine. Don't get turned away by the scary reviews. We summited and were back down in 4.5 hours and we're in decent but not top-notch condition.
Clouds seem to clear out in the afternoon for a better view But it will also be hotter than doing it in the morning.

Very hard haking. It is not for beginers but you can challenge yourself and try to climb the vulcano. 9h walking, 4.5h up and 4.5h down. Views are amazing and nature is everywhere. Price is very good and guide was very professional and showed a lot of interesting things during the haking. A must do if you are in Ometepe.

Very hard walk. We walked it in 8 hours. At some points I was really scared, because of the hight. Especially the last couple of meters, because the underground was really difficult to walk on. We went with a guide. It was handy because he knows which parts were better to walk on. We saw several groups who did it without a guide. But I would recommend a guide.
