Super nice hostel, nice to have a kitchen, supermarket right around the corner
Beautiful hostel. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Free breakfast is always good and you get a good portion as well. We also had lunch and dinner there and it's worth the price. Good music and a chill place in the hostel to hang out and just relax.
Great hostel. The people are super nice and the prices are super affordable. There's some loud traffic noise if you're sleeping next to the window. There's a little library, kitchen, laundry, showers, restaurant across street where you get free breakfast (vegan friendly) and amazing coffee and drinks. There's a couple bars and restaurants and grocery store within two blocks.
Stayed here for 3 nights, after 1 night at a windowless hostel. $25 for a private room for 2, dorms are about half that. The hostel is clean, well-kept, and has a nice common area in the center. Across the street is cafe luz, where you can get free black coffee and tea if you're staying at the hostel. Across the other street is treehuggers tour company, which we hired for Somoto ($30 for 5 hour, worth the extra $5) and a cigar factory tour. All three businesses seem to be affiliated or partners. The cafe and tour make this a convenient place to stay and the location is close to the parque central and a grocery store. The staff is friendly and you can pay for laundry service if you'd like to get your clothes washed.
Terrific value for the price. Staff friendly and helpful, including the staff at the cafe across the street, where breakfast is served. Top-drawer location. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff and everything needed for a good hostel
Nice place to stay (typical hostel) but also includes a free breakfast! Close to park, cathedral, tour agency, and bar. Everything you need!
The most popular hostel and the city, it has a bar and travel agency on it.
Une cause super, des gens intéressants et intéresser. Seul défaut le prix des choses
Estoy conforme. Pero me voy al motel pasion
Nice, social place to stay. Kitchem and common area needs to be extended
Buena atención, hay variedad de bebidas y comidas. Tienen Wi-fi y es tranquilo.
It was reviewed all over as the best place in Esteli. I found that it was really.. basic. No common area a part from ONE couch. The kitchen is too small, and it had only ONE knife the time i spent there. I complained and they told me there´s nothing they could do about it. Dorms are basic but clean, but the price seems a bit too expensive comparing to other places in Nicaragua.
But the WORST, which is something that really pisses me off as a traveler that likes doing stuff on his own, is that whatever you ask them in terms of wandering around or visiting surrounding areas, they send you to the agency that belongs to the same owners, where they dont just give you information for free, they basically offer you expensive tours. I know the money is supposed to be kept by locals, but I ended up doing a tour on my own, hiring it in front of the canyon, spending less than half and still contributing to local economy.
So basically, if you have a hostel, you should also provide FREE information!
