A noisy hotel where we were woken on every night of our stay by guests and staff chatting and laughing. The chambermaid likes an early start so expect the vacuum cleaner to be turned on at about 7am each morning - just so you know she wants in. Use of the Do not disturb sign for 1/2 an hour in the morning results in no service all day.
Its a place where you can fully expect to wait an hour for a drink after you went to find a waiter. And then you have to go and find someone to settle up. Our 10 am meeting was finally served with drinks at 11:15! This behaviour was consistent. Management approached and problems explained. No offer of room move - we got 2 hours sleep on our last night Nice surroundings but a very frustrating place to stay.response / report this review -

Love staying here. Trustworthy food, very nice rooms and a beautiful pool. People are always nice and front desk staff speaks very good English.

We booked this hotel simply because we needed somewhere to stay close to the airport in Managua after a late arrival from Belize. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was of an excellent quality with fantastic staff who were helpful and attentive. Turned out to be one of the best hotels we stayed at in Nicaragua! Extra points for having an awesome toucan!

Top notch facilities, front desk speaks English which contrary to what many online travel guides tell you is not commonly spoken or understood here in Managua at least not so far having been here for 5 hours and dealt with people at the airport people at the shops people at the car rental place so far the front desk were the first ones where we could easily communicate. (And yes I know it's my fault for not learning Spanish I had a month and just didn't learn enough to be functional fast enough, so my apologies) the best feature by far to me was the ability to smoke a cigar by the pool given that it's band almost everywhere in the US. Drinks are about $5 us which is awesome (Flor de Cana 12yr). So this is day 1 of 3 I will let you know what else I find out.

Great hotel just down the street from the airport. Good service, friendly staff. Touristy, and the prices reflect that, but the ice and water are safe to drink, the pool area is fantastic, and the restaurant is good quality.

An amazing escape from the world. Great atmosphere. Pretty, peaceful grounds. Stroll in the gardens, swim in the elegant clean pool or have a drink in the classic lounge/bar. The food is excellent, well prepared and well priced. Bring your loved one for a romantic getaway or bring your family for an oasis like escape from the pressures of the surrounding world. Be sure to find and enjoy the bird refuge. Play tennis. Relax poolside. Indulge yourself!

We stay at El Camino every time we visit Nicaragua. For me that's at least once a year, for my parents, 2 to 3 times a year. They have the same people on staff since I've been going (the past 10 years). So they remember me and they remember the little things. Like the fact that we like the small face towels and that I typically order a margarita with my dinner.
The staff is always friendly. The hotel is going through some renovations, so every time I go back, I find something new and different has changed.
The price is very good for nightly stays and the food at the hotel is great. They recently went through a menu change and took some things I wish they'd bring back, like the brownies. But the new additions like the salmon is great.
If you're ever visiting Nicaragua, you should definitely stay here. You won't be sorry.response / report this review -

Great hotel and close to airport. Service is 5 stars! I've been coming to this hotel for past 6 years. Hotel shuttle to and from airport. Management is great and staff is great. Great hotel gym. Breakfast buffet is 2nd to none! Overall the food is great! And again the customer service is phenomenal!
Only thing I have little complaint about is WIFI seems to drop you off when hotel is at high capacity probably due to amount of devices connecting.

Extremely nice hotel in Managua. This hotel is as nice as anything stateside. The water is filtered through the hotel and is clean and safe. I eat at their restaurant each time I'm in Managua. It is very good. Easy access to the airport.

The hotel played music that shook my room window until 1 am. I repeatedly called and asked them nicely to turn it off or at least turn it down and they kept saying "10 more minutes sir". Worst experience I've had at a hotel. There was no one even dancing to the music it made no sense.
