Went on open mic Thursday which was suprisingly better that I'd been led to expect. Also had lunch in the adjoining restaurant and the food was good, probably bordering on great. Get to the venue early otherwise seats are had to come by. The palm wine is good and potent. Unpretentious and good place to go start the night before heading.out to rock proper!

Only giving it 4 stars because the vibe can be hit and miss. That being said when the vibe is right, the place is popping! I tend to go on Thursday Evenings for their Open Mic Night.
The in house band, The Veterans are some talented dudes. They are honestly what keep me coming. Their covers of old and new songs, local and international, are always on point and full of spirit. Lolo is an excellent host for the evenings; nice, welcoming and knows how to get the crowd hyped. She has an excellent voice as well.
If you’re going to the open mic night I advise you get there as early as you can. Seats can and will disappear quickly and there isn’t much/any standing room to speak of.response / report this review -

Went for Taruwa (an event), so I didn't Lodge in the hotel. The space we used was small and cozy. If going, go early so as to get good seats. Order early too Food can take a while to get to you.

Bogobiri open mic nights are a breath of fresh air. Great live music and poetry. They also have a really nice kitchen and great food.

Bogobiri is a nice place for those seeking a touch of culture , art and / or the African vibe. Good food (including local delicacies), nice cultural environment and the occasional live band make this a very nice chill out spot.

Bogobiri offers a rich and unique array of entertainment and events. From the Thursday night "Freedom Hall" and Tuesday night TARUWA which offers a platform for new talent in "spoken word" and music to the weekend High Life, Jazz and Afrobeat shows by more established performers. Bogobiri is a magnetic hub in which to eat lounge enjoy good music and connect with interesting people in a relaxed, chilled out environment.

This is a boutique hotel which will really give you a feel for Lagos. The night life is very lively given that there is an art gallery and club where the most vibrant entertainment can be found. Staying at the hotel isn't the greatest experience though; if you aren't used to the heat and humidity of Lagos, and frequent power outages, you had better stay at another hotel where there is reliable backup power and good air conditioning. All said, its a great place and a must-visit if you are in Ikoyi.

The guest house is extraordinary. Beautiful room, artwork and book shelves around every corner, wonderful, warm staff (and guests). The is not a multinational luxury hotel, so no jacuzzi tubs or adjustable number beds. But a wonderful place to stay that will give you memories just for a night there. Live music in house and next door a few nights a week.

Bogobiri is a very beautiful place. Anytime I want to escape from reality and I need to read a book,I come here. The lights,the broken glasses on the wall,the wood,the decoration,art,paintings and the cats is just too beautiful to adore. I will recommend this place to thinkers and creative minds. Funny enough,night life here is mind blowing. Try their palm wine and thank me later*winks*. Guys you can bring your babes here on a date. Girls,trust me you can take selfies here for years.

The words to describe Bogobiri is quaint, cosy and warm (literally, the air conditioning is not so cold). They have an art gallery and a library filled with old books, literature pieces and old music records. There's also a shop where you can buy keepsakes, African clothes or jewelry. They have delicious meals; the fried yam with peppered snail is my favorite. Open mic night on Wednesdays is fun and if you are a closet entertainer, feel free to share your talent on that platform. You need to book seats ahead though, because the place gets full quickly. Tip: order your food & drinks immediately you arrive because that takes a bit of time to arrive.

The life band was amazing! I love their open mic night. The setting is generally very artistic and very African and that naturally comes with a homely feeling. The bathroom wall are made of stones Very clean and very vintage. They have local delicacies and home made drinks. That includes freshly squeezed fruit juice. Generally amazing place to unwind if different is what you're looking for

The food here is amazing. Try the chicken peri peri, so much value in quantity and quality for the asking price.
The food here has a certain homely taste of freshly blended peppers and very little processing.
