Just an ok place to visit.
Amenities of a museum are scarcely available.
    Not properly taken care of.

A shadow of what I know it to be before. Poorly maintained and not much of artifacts to see.

Although very very ancient collections can be see there.

I have visited this museum a couple of times in fact we recently held a press conference there with a team of Russian road travellers. This the best museum in Nigeria as far as I am concerned. They have found a way to raise funds through the friends of the museum to sustain and maintain the facility. This raise a good question about how is the museum is being funded.

It through the artifacts delayed explain the Benin culture and way of life of the Benin people in the past. The artifacts are quiet astonishing and we'll preserved though lots of the artifacts were unlawfully taken away from the Benin Kingdom during the raid of the white after the Benin massacre

As a student of University of Benin, I and my friends took time out to visit the Benin Museum. I encourage all UniBen students to do same. Its nice to always learn new things and know history well!
