  Undoubtedly worth a stop. Not somewhere to go too far out of the way for unless cave paintings are a major passion. The paintings were surprisingly impressive. Overall, a delightful visit with a some interesting historical context provided.

  Cool petroglyphs. Take the "long" hike, it's really short. The price is a little high for how much you get to see, but the glyphs are sweet so I'd recommend it. Don't expect anything fancy to eat or drink when you arrive, the place is bare bones. Also, I learned more about the site and region via my self guided tour in the museum area than I did on the mandatory guided tour.

  What an impression. You need to have some like for history and ancestors to like this place. Naturally conserved and track was just what I like. The place is not heavily intervened.

  Twyfelfontein is as fancinating as ever but the roads have never ever been worse! Corrugations that make driving a teeth-rattling nightmare and damage vehicles. Self-drive tourists and guides were complaining wherever we went this past week. Tourism is a major forex earner and job creator - Namibian government please take note. Sadly the badly corrugated tracks are not confined to Twyfelfontein but apply in many places across the country where there are dirt roads, Kunene included. The statement: "If we'd known the roads were so bad, we wouldn't have come" should be taken seriously by those who are meant to maintain tourism routes.

  It is definitely a place worth visit as you will see and get quality information about the ancient rock engravings. Also the area by itself is quite impressive.

  Well organised visit with a local guide to walk to archeological site. Nice views from there as well. Worth the visit, which takes 1h to 1h30.
