Sure it is very expensive for a campsite, but the location is amazing and you have a kitchen and a bathroom with open air toilet and shower. One of the best sunsets and sunrises we had. If you are not on a budget definitely stay there.

The location is nice, also the campsite is great. The places have there own (hot) shower and kitchen worktop with water. Why only one star?
It is the people that make a place a nice place to stayand that was the problem
Unfortunately the manager treated her campsite guests not like guests. It wasn't even possible to have a small drink in the lobby after a long day of travelling. We were not allowed. She said it was to busy in the lobby with "real guests", literally the words the manager used. In the lobby however was no one to be seen. One couple. Absurd. Never been treated like this in the whole of Namibia. Never actually anywhere else in the world treated like this Why bother having a campsite???

Mowani is a magical place hidden in twifelfontein rocks. Luxury is almost everywhere : rooms are great, charming place and firecamp. The sunset on the rock, with barmen proposing cocktails and fingerfood was definitely a highlight of our trip. Desert elephant tracking was great (but cold!). Too bad we did not really enjoy the dinner food.

Absolutely beautiful place. Food is excellent. Service very friendly and attentitiv. All day free coffee, water and Cookies in the main lounge. *the*sundowner place!!! Absolutely stunning. Accommodation is beautiful. But no fridge and air condition. Fans provided. Only the shower could have been a bit more tasteful. Plastic bottom and basic door. Lovely spot at the fire place for birthday dinner. Thanks again.
Wonderful place all in all !!! Tip Box available, very good!!!

Outstanding architecture combined with views to die for, sparkling clean amenities, and excellent cuisine makes Mowani Lodge top notch. Another visit is a must.

A seriously great hotel. All the staff are extremely friendly and professional. Food is great too! The best thing about this place is the room. It is a permanent tent and at night you can open up about half of the "walls" which makes you feel as if you are sleeping under the stars.

Great but simple campsite. Very nice open shower/toilet. Great view. Ask at the lodges if you can book an elephant tracking.

5 stars for the location and views. Very good guides. Rooms get very hot though, but the views make up for it. Although a luxury lodge, it gives more a hotel feel instead of a more personalized feeling one would expect. If the credit card machine dont work, be careful, they dont accept foreign currency. Take Rands.
