The camp sites do not have a view.
The lodge owners requested us to move out camp each day to allow thier grass to grow which was a huge inconvience.
Upon our last night we had theives smash our vehicles window and steal all our valuables including passports. Fortionatly we have recovered our passports, however two cameras are still missing.

Camped at Shametu river lodge. Kitchen and bathroom for each campsite. Clean neat and convenient. The rest of the stuff compares to Africa

This is a lovely tranquil place away from the traffic buzz. serves lovely well prepared food. bedding is very clean and good quality. The waiters and waitresses very helpful. I would go back again and again

Beautiful place with a nice atmosphere! Very good equipped and clean Campsite. The Bar, Restaurant and Pool are awesome and the staff is friendly. Recommended to stay here!

Went for lunch there. The service wasnt the best. They shoudl really look into reorganizing their arrangement for bar etc. Otherwise the view is stunning. Beautiful high ceilings coolness. The food is great aswell.

This is a fairly new Lodge & absolutely a awesome place, wonderful staff, friendly people, wonderful service & the chalet was decorated with taste & comfort! The dinner included was absolutely devine & so the full buffet breakfast! Thank U, u guys rock!

Best value for money. Shametu lies on the Kavango river, offering great activities. The campsites each have a little kitchen with electricity, a private shower (hot water in the morning and evening) and toilet. Friendly service!

I was kind of disappointed when I got to the Shametu campsites and realized that none of them had a view to the river. After 10 days of bush camping in Botswana it was kind of shocking to get to such "civilized" campsites. But in the end it was actually for the best. We spent the day in Mahango or in Bwabwata doing self drives anyway. It was perfect to get back to the camping in the end of the day and have our own hot shower, clean toilets, electricity, electric plugs and a confortable place to wash the dishes. Plus, they bring you towels for showering, staff is extremely nice and helpful, there is free wifi at the lodge area AND the campsite price was really really affordable! Can't help but give 5 stars to Shametu Camping Area, even though it isn't usually the kind of camping that I look for while travelling to "wild" places.

On our long trip trhough Africa we stayed at many places. Shametu River Lodge was one of these very exeptionial places. This brand new lodge is build by the owners with a very special eye for detail. Beyond that the hosts are very hospitable. They do everything to make your stay to a succes. The food they serve is very good with a great variaty. In short.. don't' pass this lodge. Tjeerd & Yvonne

Best camp site in our 2 months camping around Southern Africa! Each unit is very private with own proper kitchen area under roof with electricity, own braai place, own ablutions with hot water and towels! Camp sites are separated by beautiful gardens Nice deck overlooking the kavango river, very nice staff All tops!! Enjoy

Newly built lodge on the river banks of the Okavango River near Divundu. Best setting around as you can see the Popa falls from your doorstep. Highly recommend! Family friendly
