I went there to get my brakes fixed. When I picked up the bike their words were “the breaks work 100% sure”.
I am a bike tourer, after the first day biking, my hydraulic brakes started to leak and the lever was ridiculously loose.
The answer of Patrick de Goede, partner of Cycletec, was as it follows when I asked him for responsibility.
This is a copy-paste from the email he sent me.
“To answer your question about what responsibility I will take for it, none whatsoever. Had you done research about your proposed route and the equipment you opted to use, you would have seen there are no Magura service centres until you reach SA. On top of that, your choice to equip your bike with what is largely a redundant and obsolete brake set is surely your own doing.”
I just hoped they were honest with me, and let me know they couldn’t repair it. Instead of to make me pay 150€ to repair a brakes for 24h, and tight a chain.
