We spent the day at the beach club after visiting the Tulum ruins. The beach was nice, the sand was white and powdery, the drink staff was somewhat attentive, and the snorkel tour was fun, with several manta rays (although nothing like a Hawaii dive, so don't get your hopes too high for crystal clear blue waters and big schools of bright colorful fish). The food, though, was only so so, and the prices were quite high. Would probably try a different club next time.

We came to this beach and saw many people swimming and sunbathing naked. OMG it's a nice nude beach . We were delighted and also stripped and enjoyed the beach, the sea and the people around us

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Dirty, tons of bugs. Didn't get the room I paid for and would not refund me even though I got a different room.

Yikes. This place is dishonest and annoying. Our room(shed) smelled like mold, the community shower was cold and didn't have stall doors JFC, the grounds crew act like youre a trespasser even with the stupid wristband on, we had to put down deposits for freaking shower towels. This place is only in business bc of it's location and that is it.

Terrible beds!!! We arrived around 12am, it was really cold, and we were not even offered any blankets - when it was 15 degrés outside and the cabins have no isolation at all. We had booked 2 nights, we tried to sleep one night, checked into another hotel the next morning at 8:30am. Would not recommend anyone to stay here, even if the place looks pretty and the beach is nice. The beds were too terrible.

Very nice time here. The beach and beach club chairs were great. We had the shared bathroom cabana. The cabana wasn't much to it with a springy bed and not the cleanest but it had mosquito netting and the fan was good (electricity on 7pm-7am). The door only closed with a flimsy hook on the inside and the outside was a padlock but it seemed to be a safe place. The shared bathrooms and showers could use more regular cleaning but I'm not that fussy in warm beach locations. Easy parking for rental cars. Easy to get taxi or bike from here.
The bar/restaurant had some basic but good food (we are vegan and got the veggie sandwiches, french fries, and fruit plate).
Really nice beach and you can walk to the ruins. A very cool place to stay if you are on a budget and want to be on the beach in Tulum. I hear the private bathroom cabanas are much nicer for not much more price but they were booked during our stay.response / report this review -

Worse "hotel" experience ever. I booked a cabin through Travelocity. It said they had cabins with and without personal bathroom. So we booked one with personal bathroom. Didn't want to share a shower during vacations.
It turns out the cabin did have a private shower. Just NO HOT WATER.
Long story short I tried to make the hotel manager understand our situation. He just told me the cabin I booked didn't have hot water. Point. So his solution was to use the common showers that had hot water.
I attached the pictures of this solution and these common showers.

We stayed at Zazil Kin last year, beginning of May. We´ve had a small Cabana right behind the dunes. There is no Wifi, solar electricity and warm water just in the evening ( you need a shower during the day ? ).
There are Iguanas everywhere around, and no fresh towels every day.
You live somehow next to the nature, between huge palms.
You won´t find luxury there, but a great, free feeling near a wonderful, not crowded beach.
All people there were very friendly, and if Aisha is working at the bar, you have to drink a Pina Colada, she´s making them great.
Just around 500 meters away is the Maya ruin of Tulum. It´s mostly crowded, but if you go there in the early morning, you will find peace between these old stones.
Thanks to all people of the service for giving good feelings during our time there.
Zazil Kin is the right place for people, who peacefully like to enjoy, and in compare to other locations not too expensive.

Superior views and greatest beach, however it's not a luxury place for everyone. Some investments really required. Very stylish and romantic although.
