It was very nice here. I loved the coconut water with chunks of coconut and beer was just $1. The waiter made us feel like a part of the family. Good happy hour drinks.

Exceptional service, beautiful setting, the food was all locally grown very tasty. And the tequila tasting menuyummy!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I haven’t visited every restaurant in San Jose del Cabo but I have tried quite a few of them out, in particular, and thanks to the strong dollar, most of the finer restaurants that I am aware of. None has stood out quite so wonderfully, and consistently, as Tequila on Calle Manuel Doblado in the El Centro area. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, dining in a courtyard under beautiful trees. I have had nothing but really exceptional dishes there, whether appetizers, main courses, or desserts, it has been consistently wonderful taste and beautifully presented. The fish dishes vary in type but are always cooked properly for each kind of fish. My personal favorite, and one I go back for often, are the lamb chops roasted on a wood fire grill. The chops are surrounded with a thick tamarind sauce and rest on a layer of mashed squash. Salads are really great as well and it is tough to beat the tamarind margaritas. As with all restaurants close to the estuary and river, in the evenings there are a few mosquitoes. At Tequila there are never very many but don’t hesitate to ask the waiter for the can of mosquito repellent to protect you feet. The wine list is excellent and the pricing is not bad. For two people with good wine and dinners, with an appetizer and maybe a dessert to share, it will be around $70-$90 USD. But, better to pay in pesos in that all of the businesses there use a low exchange rate when they convert your check to dollars. I should lastly add, the wait staff is excellent!

The food and atmosphere are excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous. A bit on the expensive side, but it is Cabo. I highly recommend Tequila and would return for dinner.
