Saw a fantastic ballet here in about 1976. The inly ballette i ever saw. Was amazing dancers. So, EJ Jimenez a True American, born and raised in Orange County California of parents from Guanajuato heritage. This amazing dancer has got dancing in his genes. You all must see this kid (21yr old) dance. He should be on Dancing with the Stars! They would be lucky to get this young man beforre his career takes off and he becomes too expensive for the show. He is that good. He will soon be synonymous withevthe title:
    Dancer of the Millenium.

He communicates emotion and passion through dance which will stir your insides:! He is a true-American. Who loves God, his family, his California neighbors, and especially his mother, who gave her whole life to raising her only child:

EJ Jimenez, the Dancer of the Millenium.

We waited for this place to open at five to visit this historic building. The building is very old, and smelled of cigarette smoke from years of its permitted use inside the building, perhaps. The tour guide gave a lengthy tour, only in Spanish, and responded pejoratively when we asked if he offered tours in English as well. I wouldn’t pay to go back, but it was one of those things to do in Guanajuato that I’m glad I was able to check off.

Places is amazing!! We were able to do a walk around inside since it's off season for the theater. It is still in full fiction most of the year, but mostly for high end and red carpet events. If you want to tour it, go at 10:15ish and as for Señor Chon. He's the best because he gives accurate Mexican history .

Teatro Juarez is a great example of colonial architecture in the new world. There is a lot of art, music, and people interacting with each other. Teatro Juarez is the epicenter of Guanajuato and is not something to miss if you are in the area.

Great place to visit as a tourist. The interior decoration is amazing and it dates back to the late 19th century. There are local guides that explains you the history, and they put it in a historical context in order for you to imagine its historical function. Do not miss going here.

The was the starting point for a "callejonada" my wife and I went on with a musical group of estudiantinas from the University of Guanajuato. Nice backdrop for photos, but other than that can't say much because I didn't go inside.

Wonderful live music in a beautiful theatre. Ask for information about Friday night concerts. We attended a two hour classical live concert for $5 USD.

Stunning early twentieth century theatre with excellently preserved interior. If you're into Art Nouveau style design / architecture this is a must see. Even if you aren't it's a beautiful building inside and out. Tours/talks are available in Spanish.

Exceptionally pretty theatre on the main square. 35 peso's to have a look around when no performance and well worth it. If planning a trip it's worth getting dates where you can see a show as they are more infrequent than you would expect
